A Small Idea Started in Japan, With Nepal at Heart
RiwanMart was started by Bhuwan Guragain and Ritika Banskota, a husband-and-wife team currently living in Japan.
Living and studying in Japan gave us the chance to experience a different kind of online shopping — one where customers can easily discover products, compare choices, find information, and shop online.
It made us think about Nepal and the kind of online shopping experience we would like to create for customers there. We wanted to build something simple: a place where people can discover carefully selected products and shop with greater confidence.
About one year ago, that idea began taking shape as RiwanMart. We are still at the beginning of the journey, but we want to build the business carefully and for the long term.

The People Behind RiwanMart
RiwanMart is being built by a husband-and-wife team with a shared goal of creating a useful and trustworthy online shopping brand for Nepal.
Bhuwan Guragain
Co-FounderBhuwan is one of the co-founders of RiwanMart and currently lives in Japan. He studied Business Administration (経営学部) in Japan and has a strong interest in technology, e-commerce, and digital business.
At RiwanMart, he focuses on the website, technology, digital presence, marketing, and the long-term development of the business.

Ritika Banskota
Co-FounderRitika is a co-founder of RiwanMart and currently lives in Kathmandu. She has working experience in Japan.
